| 29 May 2009: Mr. André Chieng participated in a round table organized by the Development Research Center (DRC) of the State Affairs Council and the Victor Segalen Foundation, in Chengdu (Sichuan - China). The theme of the round table was : "Heritage preservation in the urban renovation process". The Chinese delegation was led by Mr. XU Kuangdi, President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice-President of the Xth Politic Consultative Conference of the Chinese People and former Mayor of Shanghai. The French delegation - with whom Mr. Chieng participated in the round table - was led by former French President Mr. Valery Giscard d'Estaing. |
